Amendment of Release according to § 26 para 1 sentence 1 WpHG dated September 1, 2010

BR Jersey International Holdings L.P., St. Helier, Jersey, BlackRock International Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., New York, USA, BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, USA and BlackRock, Inc., New York, USA have notified us on August 31, 2010 pursuant to § 21 para 1 and § 24 WpHG as follows:

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BR Jersey International Holdings L.P. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% and amounts to 1.63% (14.993.063 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BR Jersey International Holdings L.P. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock International Holdings, Inc. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% and amounts to 1.63% (14.993.063 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock International Holdings, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 3% and amounts to 1.64% (15.090.963 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 5% and amounts to 4.11% (37.754.642 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 5% and amounts to 4.11% (37.754.642 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rigths are attributable to BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On August 25, 2010 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock, Inc. in BASF SE fell below the threshold of 5% and amounts to 4.30% (39.472.900 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.
