RECTICEL SCHLAFKOMFORT GmbH REACHES A SETTLEMENT WITH THE GERMAN FEDERAL CARTEL OFFICE BRINGING THIS MATTER TO A CLOSE

Recticel announces today that its German bedding affiliate, Recticel Schlafkomfort GmbH, has reached a settlement with the German Federal Cartel Office ("FCO") in the framework of an investigation concerning potential vertical retail price maintenance the FCO launched into the German bedding market.

As previously communicated, the German Federal Cartel Office conducted on August 2nd, 2011 unannounced inspections at the premises of Recticel Schlafkomfort GmbH, and other German producers and sellers of mattresses.

Recticel Schlafkomfort GmbH's fine reflects discounts for cooperation and for having stopped the practices challenged by the FCO well before the FCO's investigation started.

Under the settlement decision, Recticel Schlafkomfort GmbH's fine amounts to EUR 8.2 million. The fine is payable 14 days after the FCO's decision.

The amount of the fine will be provisioned in the 2014 half year accounts, to be published on August 29th, 2014.

Recticel confirms that this fine will have no impact on the existing financial arrangements with its banks.
