Openbaarmaking van een transparantiekennisgeving ontvangen door KBC Groep NV

(artikel 14, eerste lid van de wet van 2 mei 2007 op de openbaarmaking van belangrijke deelnemingen)

Samenvatting van de kennisgeving

KBC Groep NV ontving een op 13 juli 2017 gedateerde transparantiekennisgeving, waaruit blijkt dat BlackRock Inc., als gevolg van netto-aankopen van KBC-aandelen, de (rapporterings)drempel van 5% overschreden heeft.

Inhoud van de kennisgeving

Die kennisgeving bevat de volgende informatie:

• Reden van de kennisgeving: aankoop of verkoop van effecten met stemrechten
• Kennisgeving door: BlackRock Inc.
• Kennisgevingsplichtige personen: zie bijlage 1
• Transactiedatum: 11 juli 2017
• Overschreden drempel: 5% (noteer: voor KBC Groep is de statutaire drempel voor kennisgevingen 3% van het totaal aantal stemrechten; daarboven gelden de wettelijke drempels van 5% en elk veelvoud daarvan)
• Noemer (aantal aandelen KBC Groep NV): 418 372 082

• Keten van gecontroleerde ondernemingen via dewelke de deelneming daadwerkelijk wordt gehouden: "BlackRock inc is the ultimate controller, but the legal entities detailed in annex 1 are the discretionary Investment Managers who holds the shares and exercise the voting rights."
