Purchase nicely complements existing buildings at this location and is in line with the company's growth plan announced in March 2016.
Intervest Offices & Warehouses has acquired Generaal de Wittelaan 11C to expand its existing investments at Intercity Business Park. The property is adjacent to the buildings already owned by Intervest Offices & Warehouses at this location.
Intervest Offices & Warehouses already owns approximately 42.500 m² of business premises at Intercity Business Park rented out to around 40 firms, among which major companies in the biomedical sector such as Biocartis, Galapagos, SGS Belgium and LabCorp. The current occupancy rate at Intercity Business Park is 95%.
The building at Generaal de Wittelaan 11C in Mechelen consists of 6.990 m² of storage space, 1.358 m² of offices and social spaces and 135 parking spaces. The ground surface area is 13.578 m². Including purchase costs, the investment amounts to approximately € 5,9 million.
The entire building is rented out to Spring Global Mail and generates some € 448.000 in annual rental income.
