Brussels, 9 March 2012 – Banimmo (NYSE Euronext BANI) has concluded two new renting contracts for a total surface of 2,130 m² in its building Prins B.5 in Antwerp. Banimmo confirms its know-how in terms of repositioning assets.

Banimmo has concluded two new renting contracts for a 9-year period in its building Prins B.5 in Antwerp. Those leases enable Banimmo to rent at market-conform conditions a total additional office surface of 2,130 m².
This office building, with a total surface of 6,800m², is located at Prins Boudewijnlaan 5 in Kontich and is ideally located between Antwerp and Brussels.
This excellent location and the quality of the renovation project have been the major advantages that have enabled Banimmo to rent these surfaces in the current difficult letting market.
At the end of 2007, Banimmo had acquired this office building within the framework of a sale and lease back operation with the company Agfa Gevaert. The latter occupied the building for a period of 2 years, after which renovation works were realized. Upon completion of those works early 2010, a first-quality tenant signed a lease for the whole 2nd floor, quickly followed by other tenants. These two new leases result from a successfully completed commercialization process.
As a consequence, the occupancy rate of the building increases from 54% to 86%. Contacts are continuing for the commercialization of the remainder of the available space, representing only 600m² office space and 250 m² archive/storage space.
Current land area allows the construction of an extension of 3,000m², subject to obtaining necessary building permits. Banimmo is also analyzing this opportunity.
With this new operation, Banimmo confirms its know-how in transforming assets, enabling the company to create added value by technically or commercially repositioning assets, whether those are offices, retail units or other real estate types.
