IMPORTANT EVENT TO BE REPORTED: The Decision of the Board of Directors from 19.02.2018 - Appoiment of General Manager

Through this current report SINTEZA SA informs shareholders and investors about the decision of the Board of directors from 19.02.2018 regarding the appointment of Mr. TURCU VASILE-COSMIN as General Manager of the company, starting with 19.02.2018. New CEO: We relaunch the production of benzoic acid and develop related products.

Starting with February 19, 2018, Mr. Cosmin Turcu will take over as General Manager of Sinteza SA.

Cosmin Turcu has a remarkable professional experience in the petrochemical field, having a close contact with Sinteza SA over the past year, by taking a position on the Board of Directors. Between 1998 and 2016, he held top management or project management positions at the major petrochemical companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

"First of all, I am honored to have the mission to revitalize a company with a long history on the local chemicals market, until recently one of the top employers of the Oradian industry. The moment is an extremely important one, because the restriction of the company's activity has led to the decrease of the number of employees and the decrease of the industrial areas used.

However, with the support of our shareholders and a new management team, I believe with conviction that we have the chance of an improved evolution. There will be a period of optimization and investment in production capabilities, with a clear target of increasing the company's profitability and the quality of the delivered products.

The appointment of the new General Manager is subject to all legal approvals in force.
