Petrom announces the appointment of Gabriel Selischi as member of the Executive Board of Petrom, in charge with Exploration and Production activity starting with September 1, 2013, following Johann Pleininger's waiver of mandate as member of the Executive Board.

Johann Pleininger will move to the new position of Senior Vice President for the Central Eastern Europe Region (CEE) in OMV's E&P division. In this role he will be responsible for E&P in Austria and E&P OMV Petrom, including the Black Sea activities.

In accordance with art. 18.11 of Petrom's Articles of Association, Gabriel Selischi was appointed as member of the Executive Board starting September 1, 2013 for the remaining term of the mandate granted to Johann Pleininger, i.e. until April 17, 2015.

Johann Pleininger and Gabriel Selischi will continue working together in order to ensure a smooth transition in Romania while supporting E&P OMV Petrom team in achieving its challenging strategic business objectives.

Petrom anunta numirea lui Gabriel Selischi in functia de membru al Directoratului Petrom. responsabil cu activitatea de Explorare si Productie, incepand cu 1 septembrie 2013, ca urmare a renuntarii lui Johann Pleininger la mandatul de membru al Directoratului.

Johann Pleininger va ocupa noua functie de Vice Presedinte Senior pentru Regiunea Europeana Centrala si de Est (CEE) in cadrul diviziei E&P a OMV. In aceasta noua functie, va fi responsabil pentru E&P in Austria si E&P OMV Petrom, incluzand activitatile din Marea Neagra.

In conformitate cu prevederile art. 18.11 din Actul Constitutiv al Petrom, Gabriel Selischi a fost numit membru al Directoratului, incepand cu data de 1 septembrie 2013, pentru perioada ramasa din mandatul lui Johann Pleininger, respectiv pana la data de 17 aprilie 2015.

Johann Pleininger si Gabriel Selischi vor continua sa lucreze impreuna pentru a asigura o buna tranzitie in Romania, sprijinind in acelasi timp E&P OMV Petrom echipa in atingerea ambitioaselor sale obiective strategice de afaceri.

Gabriel Selischi (45) studied engineering at the Polytechnical Institute of Bucharest. He finished his studies in France, where he also graduated with a master degree, delivered by four prestigious schools in Paris in 1994. He served as Senior Manager at Schlumberger Paris and as Principal at Bossard Gemini Consulting company in Paris and Johannesburg. He successfully managed the postacquisition transfer of several offshore oil & gas concessions in Africa while stabilizing production of such assets. He acted as Program Manager for the post-merger business integration of an Oil Major in nine countries in EU. In 2006 he joined the OMV Petrom E&P team where he served as Head of Strategy, Project & Engineering and more recently as Director of Domestic Asset Business Unit. His various international positions have taken him to several countries in European Union, South Africa, Algeria and Angola.

Gabriel Selischi (45) a studiat ingineria la Institutul Politehnic Bucuresti. Si-a terminat studiile in Franta unde in anul 1994 a absolvit un masterat acordat de către patru scoli de prestigiu. A activat ca Senior Manager la Schlumberger si ca Director in cadrul Gemini Consulting. A reusit transferul a mai multe perimetre offshore din Africa si, in acelasi timp, a stabilizat productia de titei si gaze. A activat ca Manager de Program pentru integrarea post-fuziune a unei importante companii petroliere in noua tari din Europa. In 2006 s-a alaturat echipei OMV Petrom E&P unde a ocupat functia de Director Strategie, Projecte & Inginerie si, recent, ca Director al Unitatii de Afaceri Zone de Productie Interne. De-a lungul carierei a lucrat in mai multe tari din Uniunea Europeana, Africa de Sud, Algeria si Angola.
