Important event to report: final certification of Transelectrica as TSO of the SEN, according to the ownership unbundling model

The Company's governance team informs the investor public that, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity and natural gas law 123/2012, the Regulatory Committee of the National Regulatory Authority in the Energy domain (ANRE) decided on the final certification of the National Power Grid Company Transelectrica SA in capacity of transmission and system operator (TSO) of the Romanian Power System (SEN) according to the ownership unbundling model.

Thus the ANRE President issued Order 164/07.12.2015 approving the certification of the National Power Grid Company Transelectrica SA as transmission and system operator of the national power system following compliance with the requirements from the Electricity and natural gas law 123/2012, from Directive 2009/72/EC and from Regulation (EC) 714/2009.

Order 164/07.12.2015 together with the European Commission's final endorsement number C (2015) 7053 of 12.10.2015 was published in the Official Gazette 908/08.12.2015.

The order on final certification together with the ANRE account about the certification approval will be notified to the European Commission according to legal provisions, and the Commission will publish the Company's certification in the European Union's Journal.

This order applies the provisions of European Union's and of the national legislation with respect to certifying the transmission and system operator and does not institute additional costs / fees or liabilities for the end consumer of electricity.
