Significant events to be reported: final settlement of case against ANRE

Electrica informs shareholders and investors that, on 15 November 2022, the High Court of Cassation and Justice definitively settled the case no. 340/2/2016, against ANRE, rejecting Electrica's recourse as unfounded (the case was also dismissed on merits).

The object of the file is Electrica's request for (i) partial annulment (regarding the specific tariffs) of ANRE Order no. 171/2015 regarding the approval of specific tariffs for the electricity distribution service and the price for reactive electricity for the Societatea Filiala de Distribuție a Energiei Electrice Transilvania Sud S.A (SFDEETS), currently Distributie Energie Electrica Romania S.A., (ii) issuance by ANRE of a new order establishing the specific tariffs for the electricity distribution service for SFDEETS, for the year 2016, in compliance with the applicable legal provisions and (iii) cancellation of ANRE address no. 5319/26 January 2016, by which the previous complaint was resolved.
