Significant events to be reported: Information in the public space regarding the submittal of an insolvency petition against a subsidiary of Electrica SA

Following the appearance in the public space of some information regarding the submittal by Proelectrica SRL Ramnicu Valcea of an insolvency petition against Electrica's subsidiary, Distribuţie Energie Electrică Romania SA (DEER), registered under no. 673/1285/2022 with the Specialized Courthouse Cluj, Electrica informs its shareholders and investors about the fact that DEER fully paid the debt registered to Proelectrica SRL (RON 1.289 mil), in accordance with an internal payments calendar, this being part of the normal course of business of the company. Therefore, the debt has been settled and the above-mentioned insolvency petition remains without object.

Electrica ensures its shareholders and investors that at Group level there are enough liquidities for fulfilment of all contractual obligations.
