"In the fourth quarter, we delivered a profit after tax of SEK 248 million, an increase of 43 per cent compared to last year. We generated a return on equity - our key ratio internally and externally - of 15.5 per cent for the quarter and 16.8 per cent for the full year. Based on the stable foundation on which our company now stands, the Board of Directors proposes a dividend for the full year 2024 of SEK 2 per share.", says Harry Vranjes, CEO of Hoist Finance.

Key events in the fourth quarter 2024

• Profit before tax amounted to SEK 281m, compared to SEK 257m in the same quarter last year. Underlying profit before tax amounted to SEK 336m and SEK 237m respectively.
• Return on equity amounted to 15.5%, compared to 11.1% in the same quarter last year.
• Investments in new portfolios of SEK 1.9bn in the quarter, resulting in a total investment portfolio of SEK 30.7bn at the end of the period.
• Acquired the first portfolio in Portugal, opening Hoist Finance' 13th market.
• Strong collection performance of 106% across the markets, compared to 105% in the same quarter last year.
• Total investment portfolio growth of 26%, driving net interest income growth of 36%.
• Sold a large unsecured portfolio in Spain at book value, with associated restructuring costs of SEK 42m.
• Sold the third-party servicing unit in Spoleto, Italy. Hoist Finance no longer has any third-party servicing business.
• Issued senior unsecured bonds totalling SEK 1 billion in two tranches at an increasingly narrow credit spread. Issued senior non-preferred bonds of SEK 700m.
• Postponed notification as Specialised Debt Restructurer (SDR) due to regulatory uncertainty. Clarifications from the regulators expected after summer. In the meantime, Hoist Finance continues executing on its strategy, as before, with focus on profitable growth.
• The Board of Directors proposes a dividend of SEK 2 per share.

• Total operating income amounted to SEK 1,130m (925)
• Profit before tax totalled SEK 281m (257)
• Profit for the period was SEK 248m (173)
• Basic and diluted earnings per share amounted to SEK 2.56 (1.65)
• Return on equity was 15 % (11)
• Portfolio acquisitions totalled SEK 1,899m (2,365)
• The CET1 ratio per 31 December was 11.48 % (13.89)

Key figures full-year 2024

• Total operating income amounted to SEK 4,392m (3,495)
• Profit before tax totalled SEK 1,300m (846)
• Profit for the period was SEK 1,013m (663)
• Basic and diluted earnings per share amounted to SEK 10.07 (5.72)
• Return on equity was 17% (11)
• Book value of acquired loan portfolios totalled SEK 10,772m (7,089)
