Brussels, January 12th, 2010 (5:45 pm) – In its ruling on January 5th, 2010, the Brussels trade court dismissed Alucoat's claims for an expert examiner to be appointed with a view to assessing United Anodisers' management.
Further to a complaint filed in September 2008, Alucoat opened proceedings against United Anodisers with the competent Belgian courts seeking the appointment of an expert examiner.
In its ruling on January 5th, the Brussels trade court dismissed these claims, finding that United Anodisers' board of directors has provided a comprehensive and detailed response to all of the points relating to the company's accounts and management on which Alucoat had requested clarifications. Under these circumstances, Alucoat's claims were found to be groundless.
