World leader for aluminium anodising – www.coil.be

PRESS RELEASE

REVENUE GROWTH FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2015

Brussels, May 4th, 2015 (5:45 pm) – COIL, the world leader for aluminium anodising, is reporting €6,357,000 in revenues for the first quarter of 2015, up 21.1% from the same period the previous year.

In Europe, the sales growth reflects a positive price effect, thanks to the 25% increase in prices introduced by COIL on January 1st this year. Its business development is also being driven by the diversification of the product mix on new markets. The outsourcing business with major rolling mills has continued to be partially affected by a chronic shortage of quality metal.

COIL's sales outside of Europe have continued to pick up, building on the trend that began in 2014, with sustained growth in architectural projects. Sales are being generated in China and diversifying across other markets. These positive developments factor in strong growth in packaged offers (including metal supplies), which represented around 12.5% of revenues for the quarter, compared with 4.3% one year earlier.

Buoyed by growing demand for anodised aluminium, COIL is looking ahead to 2015 with confidence. To support its expansion strategy and consolidate its operational efficiency, the Company is investing in the productivity and quality of its production facilities in Belgium, in addition to setting up its future Line 6 in Germany, which is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2016.

NEXT DATE: general meeting on June 3rd, 2015

COIL is the world's largest architectural and industrial anodiser.

Anodising is an electrochemical process electrolysis - that develops a natural and protective exterior layer on aluminium that can be coloured, providing exceptional corrosion protection and/or increased functionality for the metal.

Anodising preserves all the natural and ecological properties of aluminium - it retains its high strength-to-weight ratio, non-magnetic properties and exceptional corrosion resistance without any impact on the total and repeated recyclability of the metal.

Anodised aluminium is used across a wide range of architectural, designer, industrial and automotive applications.
