Press release

Eiffage in exclusive negotiations to acquire an interest of over 80% in the Sun'R Group

Eiffage, through Eiffage Concessions, has begun exclusive negotiations with a view to acquiring an interest of over 80% in the Sun'R Group. The founder Antoine Nogier and its management team will retain the remainder of the share capital. The transaction will be structured as a purchase of existing shares together with a simultaneous capital increase reserved for Eiffage.

The Sun'R Group (sunr.fr), a mission-based company founded in 2007, aims to accelerate agricultural and energy transitions and in so doing to help address the consequences of global warming.

It has three business activities:

  • the development and generation of photovoltaic electricity, with a portfolio of more than 100 MWp in operation and another 300 MWp under development, led by Sun'R in France and Sun'R International outside France;
  • dynamic agrivoltaics, through Sun'Agri, a pioneer and leader in this field. It designs and implements smart solutions and infrastructure for agriculture, with 220 hectares protected or at the study stage, equivalent to a power rating of around 150 MWp;
  • the local, transparent and traceable supply of green electricity by Volterres, which will deliver 600 GWh in 2022 to 10,000 business locations thanks to its network of over 40 partner renewable energy power plants.

Through this acquisition, Eiffage intends to capitalise on the Sun'R Group's management expertise and the culture of innovation among its teams to accelerate its expansion into renewable energies.

Subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, the acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2022.
