REQUEST FOR EXTENSION TO SUSPENSION OF SHARES ON NSX

21 May 2014 - African Petroleum Corporation Limited (NSX: AOQ)

("African Petroleum" or the "Company"), refers to its announcement

dated 12 May 2014 pursuant to which the Company requested a

suspension of its securities, effective pre-open on 12 May 2014 until

Wednesday 21 May 2014 ("Suspension") whilst the Company

undertakes a roadshow and bookbuilding for a proposed capital

raising as part of its application to list on Oslo Axess, a regulated

market place under the Oslo Stock Exchange (refer NSX

Announcement dated 30 April 2014).

The Company is finalizing the book build for the capital raising and

accordingly, requests that the Suspension be extended until the

earlier of the Company releasing an announcement in relation to the

closing of the book build for the capital raising, or the

commencement of trade on Monday, 26 May 2014.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the extension to the

extension of the Suspension should not be granted.
