Request for suspension of shares

African Petroleum Corporation Limited (African Petroleum) (NSX:AOQ) requests that a suspension be granted by the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) with respect to its ordinary shares effective pre-open on 10 February 2015 until Wednesday 11 February 2015 and provides the following information in relation to that request:

• African Petroleum seeks a suspension of its shares whilst it undertakes a bookbuilding for a proposed capital raising;
• African Petroleum requests the suspension end pre-open Wednesday 11 February

2015; and

African Petroleum is not aware of any reason why the suspension should not be

granted
