Asetek Allowed Key EU Patent Claims
April 29th, 2015 - Asetek®, the world's leading supplier of computer liquid
cooling solutions, today announced that the European Patent Office (EPO) has
decided to grant a patent on the company's All In One liquid cooling system
designed for cooling primarily CPU and GPUs.
Asetek's unique liquid cooling solutions are gaining an increasing market
foothold. To secure IP rights is a key for the company in order to be able
continue expansion in terms of product development as well as market
penetration. Asetek has recently achieved favorable outcomes in intellectual
property disputes in the US. Thus, through the EU patent award, Asetek continues
to strengthen its IP portfolio.
"These patent claims go all the way back to 2003 so it is a milestone to finally
having them allowed and turned in to a patent. These claims are pivotal in our
European Patent Portfolio as they cover the core of our main business both
within the Desktop and Data Center segments," said André Sloth Eriksen, Founder
and CEO of Asetek. "During the next months the patent will be extended to 11
countries across Europe which in turn will open up for further market and sales
activities."
