REC Silicon ASA- Notice of Treasury Bond Transaction

Fornebu, Norway - July 16, 2015:REC Silicon ASA (the "Company" or "REC") has

sold or agreed to sell a nominal value of NOK 155,000,000 of REC03 held in

treasury (ISIN: NO0010607476), representing 17% of the nominal amount issued, at

a price of 91% of par. After the transaction, the Company holds NOK 457,500,000

of REC03 representing approximately 50% of the nominal amount issued.

Furthermore, the Company has acquired or agreed to acquire a nominal value of

NOK 55,000,000 of REC02 (ISIN: NO0010607484), representing approximately 8% of

the nominal amount issued, at a price of 100% of par. After the transaction, the

Company holds NOK 533,500,000 of REC02 representing approximately 75% of the

nominal amount issued.
