Entra ASA : Lease contract with Asplan Viak enabling a new Powerhouse in Sandvika
Oslo, 19 August 2015 - Entra has decided to build another Powerhouse through
renovation of one building block in the Kjørbo office park in Sandvika. Asplan
Viak has signed a lease contract for approximately 50% of the new 4,250 sqm
Powerhouse building and has also extended their lease contract in the first
Powerhouse building. Both lease contracts have a duration to November 2025.
Asplan Viak will move into the new premises in 2017.
"Powerhouse has matured from an environmentally driven innovation project to a
highly competitive product in the market for office properties", says Entra's
CEO Arve Regland.
Powerhouse generates more energy than it consumes over its life cycle. Power
consumption is estimated to around 20 kWh per sqm whilst solar panels will
produce energy equal to 40 kWh per sqm. All factors from manufacturing of
building materials through operations and in the end demolition are included in
the energy calculation.
Completed in 2014, the first Powerhouse building at Kjørbo was the first
rehabilitated office building globally to achieve the environmental
certification BREEAM Outstanding.
Powerhouse is a co-operation between Sapa, Zero, Hydro, Snøhetta, Skanska,
Asplan Viak and Entra. Through optimisation of the building processes and a
number of innovations the partners has now managed to reduce building cost with
15-20% compared to the first Powerhouse building.
"Entra continues its environmental leadership in the Norwegian real estate
sector. Our customers prefer buildings with high environmental standards
something which also proves to be financially sound for all parties", concludes
Arve Regland.
