EUKOR has agreed with Hyundai Motor Group to carry Hyundai/KIA vehicle exports from Korea for a further four years
EUKOR Car Carriers, owned 40% by Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA,
has agreed with Hyundai Motor Group to carry
Hyundai/KIA vehicle exports from Korea for a further
four years. The new period commences from January
2016, through to 31 December 2019 with volume portion
adjusting from 50% in the first two-year period to 40%
of the exports in the second two-year period. Details
of the contract are still be to be finalized.
In 2014, EUKOR transported approximately 4.6 million
units of which 1.7 million where on behalf of Hyundai
and Kia.
The agreement confirms EUKOR's strong position in
Korea and is a proof of quality delivered under the
existing contract. Being strategically important for
the company's profitability going forward, the
agreement builds on EUKOR's ambitions to be a global
provider of quality car carrying services for a
diversified customer base.
