Investor Presentation – Oslo, 15 February 2016

African Petroleum (OSX: APCL), an independent oil and gas exploration company operating ten licenses in five countries offshore West Africa, will host an investor presentation in Oslo on 15 February 2016 for investors, analysts and members of the press.

Commenting on today's announcement, Stephen West, CFO of African Petroleum said:

"We believe that African Petroleum is well positioned for 2016, despite the current challenging business and investment environment in the energy sector. As an exploration company, African Petroleum is positioning itself to unlock the value of over 12.5 billion barrels of unrisked prospective resources at a time when the cost of drilling has reduced by over 50%. We are essentially a play on the future oil price, which we believe will be significantly higher in two to three years' time.

With the recent US\$16.9m transaction with Ophir Energy in Cote d'Ivoire and the significant cost cutting initiatives implement in Q4 2015, we are now focussed on completing further farm-out transactions in our world class acreage position during H1 2016 to fund our forward well drilling programme for next 18-24 months."
