Roald Valen Appointed New CEO In Badger Explorer ASA

The Board of Directors of Badger Explorer ASA (BXPL) announces today the

appointment of Roald Valen as the new Chief Executive Officer in BXPL,

succeeding Øystein Larsen, who will step down to pursue opportunities outside of

BXPL. Mr. Valen will start in the position on 22nd August 2016, and Mr. Larsen

will continue to work for BXPL in a transition period.

Mr. Larsen said: "I had an active role in recruiting my successor, and I am

confident that Roald Valen will be a great resource for BXPL, given his broad

experience from similar companies".

Mr. Valen previously held positions in ABB Robotics, Robotic Drilling Systems

and Zaptec, and has broad experience of managing and engineering advanced

robotic solutions. "We are delighted Mr. Valen has accepted the position as the

new CEO. His significant and relevant experience will contribute to BXPL

reaching commercial operations as soon as possible.", said Marcus Hansson,

Chairman of the Board of BXPL.

significant steps lately, and I look forward to solving the remaining challenges

together with the rest of the team".
