Beerenberg announces a new CEO.

Arild Apelthun has today been appointed as new CEO in Beerenberg, replacing Morten Walde who has decided to step down.

After more than 20 years in Beerenberg, of which the last 10 years as its CEO, Morten Walde has decided to step down from his position as CEO. He will continue in the company as member of the board.

"We are sorry to see Morten leave his current role but respect his decision. Morten has done a great job through many years with the company and we are glad to see him continue to contribute to Beerenberg's success in his new role as member of the board", says Ketil Lenning, Chairman of the board.

Walde is replaced by Arild Apelthun, until now CFO of Beerenberg.

Arild Apelthun joined Beerenberg in 2014, having previously served as the CFO of listed ship- and drilling equipment provider TTS Group ASA. Prior to this, he held various positions within subsidiaries of Aker Solutions in USA and Europe. Arild Apelthun holds a MSc in finance ("siviløkonom").

"Facing the need to find a new CEO, we are very pleased to be able to present Arild Apelthun as Walde's successor. Apelthun is well qualified for the position and has for many years played a key role in forming the Beerenberg culture", says Lenning.

"I look forward to taking on the role of Beerenberg CEO. We have many exciting tasks and opportunities ahead of us", says Arild Apelthun.
