Nordic Announces Cellular IoT Design Win

Nordic Semiconductor ASA, has today announced a design win within Cellular IoT. The design win is with StalkIT AS, a leading Norwegian asset tracking company.

StalkIT recently announced its tracking service at the same time as Telia announced the opening of their IoT mobile network. The StalkIT tracker is a compact and robust battery operated 4G LTE narrowband IoT (Cat-NB) positioning device with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) from Nordic Semiconductor. The tracker is using the NB-IoT mobile networks to report its position and sensor data to the Stalkit Cloud and Mobile App. The sensors will determine its position based on the Global Positioning System (GPS), measure the temperature, and register movement from the 3D accelerometer. The Mobile App is used to activate and organize the tracker when installing it, as well as a portable map to help locate the correct container. The StalkIT cloud and Web App is used to organize the containers, set up geofences and keep overview of inventory.

StalkIT has started to take customer orders and is in production with the tracker.

StalkIT is also prototyping the next generation tracker aimed for production in spring 2019.
