New management appointments at Veidekke Sweden

Mats Nyström has been appointed EVP and new CEO of Veidekke Sweden after Jimmy

Bengtsson, who took over as Group CEO of Veidekke ASA on 1 September. Charlotta

Nilsén will assume responsibility for the Residential Buildings business area,

which was up until now headed by Mats Nyström.

"Veidekke has great market potential in Sweden. Mats Nyström's mission is first

and foremost about strengthening profitability. With his extensive experience

and leadership skills, Nyström is the right person to take our Swedish

operations to the next level," says Jimmy Bengtsson, Group CEO of Veidekke ASA.

Mats Nyström joined Veidekke in 2017 from Skanska, where he was a member of the

management team for Skanska's Swedish operations. Nyström's appointment as CEO

of Veidekke Sweden was effective 4 September.

"I look forward to leading Veidekke's Swedish business through profitable growth

and a strong emphasis on leadership, culture and values. We must remain

attractive as an employer and as a partner to our customers. Going forward, I

will focus on realising and further developing current strategies, in close

collaboration with my colleagues," says Mats Nyström.

Effective 9 September, Charlotta Nilsén will assume leadership of Veidekke

Sweden's Residential Buildings business area, which primarily builds residential

units, but also executes extensive commercial projects in South and West Sweden.

Charlotta Nilsén joined Veidekke in 2014 and currently heads up Veidekke

Property Development Sweden's region Riks.

capacity for addressing highly complex assignments and customer needs. If we

apply our overall capabilities, we have tremendous competitive potential.

Through sixteen years in the construction industry and eight years in property

development, I have gained insight into the broader scale of building for

area, in collaboration with good colleagues," says Charlotta Nilsén.
