NOD - Nordic Semiconductor ASA's Third Quarter 2019 Results

Nordic Semiconductor ASA, a global provider of low power wireless connectivity, today reported revenues for the third quarter 2019 of USD 82.2 million, compared to USD 78.7 million for the third quarter 2018. EBIT was USD 5.7 million, compared to USD 9.9 million in the third quarter 2018.

Bluetooth revenues for the third quarter 2019 amounted to USD 62.2 million, up from USD 54.3 million in the third quarter 2018. Net profit after tax was USD 5.8 million, compared to USD 7.2 million in the third quarter 2018.

“Q3 marks the second consecutive quarter with Bluetooth growth. We deliver a record quarter above USD 80 million in revenue, and a record backlog of USD 114m million. Based on the guidance for the next quarter, we will exit 2019 on a strong note” says Svenn-Tore Larsen, CEO of Nordic Semiconductor ASA.

Guidance for Q4 2019 revenue is USD 75-79 million, with gross margin expected around 50%. Capex in Q4 2019 is estimated at USD 4-5 million.
