Veidekke ASA: To build for Starco at Gardermoen

Veidekke Logistikkbygg has been awarded the contract by Olav Thon Eiendom

(Gardermoen Park AS) to erect a new central warehouse at Gardermoen for tyre

supplier Starco. The contract is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 180 million

excluding VAT.

strategy of developing, specialising in and constructing non-residential

buildings under turnkey contracts. We look forward to embarking on the project

and to conducting the construction process together with Starco and Olav Thon,"

says general manager Roar Kristiansen of Veidekke Logistikkbygg AS.

The building will have a gross area of approximately 23,000 m[2] and will be

constructed at Gardermoen in Ullensaker municipality. The entire property is 40

decares in size, and will be the largest logistics building for tyres and rims

in Norway. Starco's warehouses in eastern Norway will now be gathered in the new

warehouse and logistics building at Gardermoen. The building will also

accommodate the DekkTeam chain with new headquarters in the building, and the

project also includes a tyre workshop.

Construction work starts in the autumn, and the project is scheduled for

completion in the first half of 2022.
