Veidekke ASA: Constructing logistics hubs at Vestby

Veidekke ASA: Constructing logistics hubs at Vestby

Veidekke Logistikkbygg has signed a contract with Pareto Eiendomsfellesskap AS

for the construction of Nordisk Dækimport's (NDI) new central warehouse facility

at Vestby to the south of Oslo. The contract is a turnkey contract valued at

approx. NOK 185 million excluding VAT.

The project involves the co-location of NDI's existing warehousing facilities in

Eastern Norway to the Vestby Business Park East in the municipality of Vestby.

Pareto, NDI and Veidekke have worked closely together to develop a building that

satisfies the requirements for a modern, efficient logistics hub. The building

will have a gross area just over 23,500 m[2] and will be adapted to NDI's range

of goods encompassing everything from wheelbarrow tyres to construction tyres.

'Together, we have come up with some fantastic solutions that meet NDI's needs

and ensure the building is very flexible and attractive in terms of long-term

ownership. We have signed a series of new leases at Vestby of late, and this

project confirms the ever-increasing attractiveness of the business park,' says

Jonathan Barfod, Partner and Investment Director at Pareto Alternative

Investments AS.

'Veidekke Logistikkbygg specialises in developing and constructing rational and

efficient non-residential buildings on a turnkey basis. We are grateful for the

vote of confidence and look forward getting to work and engaging in a fruitful

and exciting partnership together with Pareto, who are the biggest lessors of

logistics real estate in the country,' says Roar Kristiansen, General Manager at

Veidekke Logistikkbygg AS.

Construction will commence in the New Year and the project is scheduled for

completion by summer 2022.
