Selvaag Bolig ASA: Q2 2021: Sold 454 homes for NOK 2.36 billion in first half

Selvaag Bolig sold 180 homes worth NOK 927 million in the second quarter of

2021. Sales for the first half totalled 454 homes worth NOK 2 358 million - up

by 21 per cent from the same period of 2020.

"Sales were good throughout the first half, but the second quarter was a bit

slower than the first," says Selvaag Bolig CEO Sverre Molvik.

"We nevertheless sold well in all our projects, particularly in Greater Oslo,

and also expect a good and stable market in the time to come. We have unique

housing concepts and good products in the right places."

Net sales, adjusted for Selvaag Bolig's share of joint ventures, came to 173

homes worth NOK 871 million in the second quarter, and 420 worth NOK 2 113

million for the first half.

The company started construction of 142 homes during the quarter, completed 120

and delivered 132 to the buyer. At 30 June, it had 1 371 homes under

construction and 15 completed units which remained unsold.

"The net sales values for the frist half was up by 38 per cent from the same

period of last year. As a result of the good sales, we started construction of

more homes than we completed," says Molvik.

During the first half, Selvaag Bolig started construction of 276 homes,

completed 215 and delivered 256 to the buyer.

Net sales for the second quarter of 2020 amounted to 142 homes worth NOK 696

million, while gross sales came to 186 units with a combined value of NOK 920

million.

The corresponding figures for the first half of last year were 306 homes worth

NOK 1 536 million net, and 382 units with a combined value of NOK 1 951 million

gross.
