Changed sailing schedule for Havila Capella and Havila Castor

Changed sailing schedule for Havila Capella and Havila Castor

Havila Capella, 24.11.21

The company refers to stock exchange releases 27.10.21 and 03.11.21 regarding delivery and sailing schedules for Havila Capella and Havila Castor.

Havila Capella

Havila Capella was delivered to the company on 3rd November. Clearance out of Turkey and departure from the yard took several days more than expected. The sailing to Norway has also taken longer time than estimated due to a lot of weather and an extra bunkering.

Havila Capella will arrive in Bergen today.

As soon as she arrives in Bergen, the preparation for welcoming passengers will continue, bud caused by the delays, the number of days available prevent first sailing on 1st December. According to the sailing schedule the next departure from Bergen will be on the 12th December which will be the first roundtrip with Havila Capella between Bergen and Kirkenes.

Havila Castor

Tersan has communicated further delays for the delivery of Havila Castor. Expected delivery is now within end of February. The yard explains further delays with increased challenges related to corona infections at the yard and in Turkey in general. The first sailing from Bergen is now planned to take place on 7th April 2022.

The company deeply regrets the consequences the delay has for the population along the Norwegian coast and for the cruise passengers and that the cancellation of first roundtrip comes so closed to the departure. The company will do its best to find solutions for the passengers affected by the delays.

The delays have been caused by Covid 19, conditions at the yard, capacity of subcontractors both from Norway and abroad and travel restrictions both among the subcontractors and Norwegian authorities that are doing the certification of the ships.
