BEWI - Sale of the plastics company Biobe

BEWI, a leading provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions,

announces the sale of the plastics company Biobe AS to BE Form Holding AS, a

company wholly owned by BEWI Invest, the majority owner of BEWI.

Biobe AS was acquired by BDH Holding in September 2017, which in turn was

acquired by BEWI ASA in August 2020. Biobe is divested to BE Form Holding on

similar terms as it was acquired in 2020.

"We strongly believe in the development potential of Biobe, based on the

expertise and capabilities of the organisation in Fredrikstad. At the same time,

Biobe's operations are not within BEWI's core business, and we therefore believe

the company will have better growth opportunities in BE Form," says Stein Inge

Liasjø, managing director of BEWI Norway.

Biobe has recently entered a 12-year lease contract with the owner of the

facility in Fredrikstad.
