Veidekke: New building contract at Lilleby in Trondheim

Veidekke: New building contract at Lilleby in Trondheim

Veidekke has signed a contract with Lilleby Eiendom AS to build a terraced

housing estate and two apartment blocks with a total of 114 residential units at

Lilleby in Trondheim. The contracts have a combined value of just below NOK 300

million excluding VAT.

"We are very pleased with the renewed confidence in us and want to thank Nordr

and the other owners of Lilleby Eiendom for the new contracts. Since starting up

at the old smelting plant site at Lilleby in 2015, we have had the pleasure of

developing and building more than 700 homes valued at NOK 1.3 billion thanks to

close and good cooperation. In addition, we have entered into development

agreements for another three building stages with a total of 170 residential

units," says regional director Torgeir Wiig of Veidekke Bygg Trøndelag.

Lilleby's first high-rise

Tower 12 will be the first high-rise at Lilleby with 12 storeys and 53

apartments. The building will have a varied façade of wood and cladding. Ground

and concrete works started as early as January, and the apartments will be ready

for occupation in the autumn of 2023.

More terraced houses

Gartner Lunds Hage 2, building stage 1, comprises ten spacious terraced

apartments of up to four storeys. The terraced houses are partly a copy of the

neighbouring project Gartner Lunds Hage 1, and will be ready for occupation in

the summer/autumn of 2023.

Verkstedgården 3

Verkstedgården 3 is the high-rise's closest neighbour. With its 8 storeys and 61

apartments, here one has chosen a cleaner façade of plaster, and a contrast

colour for windows and balconies. The homes are scheduled for occupation in the

autumn of 2023.

When completed, Lilleby will comprise 1,100 terraced houses in a car-free area

with large park spaces and common outdoor areas. Since the start in 2015, the

area has undergone several innovative and environmentally oriented processes,

and emerges in many contexts as a pioneer project for modern urban development.

50 per cent of Lilleby Eiendom is owned by Nordr Norge AS with 50 per cent owned

by others, and it is Nordr who has taken on the role as client.
