Sparebanken Møre adjusts interest rates
Sparebanken Møre increases lending and deposit rates by up to 0.5 percentage points.
The reason for the change is the increased money market rates and the key policy rate adjustment from Norges Bank.
For retail customers the new interest rates will be effective on 3 October 2022 for existing loans, and on 1 September 2022 for new loans. For deposits the new rates will be valid from 22 October 2022.
Customers will be notified on how the rate change will affect their loans and deposits in the internet bank/mobile bank or in a letter by regular post.
– We are in a period of higher interest rates and general price increases, and it is natural that some customers may be unsure of how this affects their own finances. At Sparebanken Møre, all mortgage customers have a permanent, authorized adviser who has specialist expertise in personal finance. We are experiencing increased demand for financial advice, and it is gratifying to register good feedback from customers who see the value of being closely followed up by an adviser who knows them, says Elisabeth Blomvik, EVP Retail Banking Division in Sparebanken Møre.
