Veidekke: Selected to execute the Fornebubanen Majorstuen-Skøyen tunnel contract

Veidekke: Selected to execute the Fornebubanen Majorstuen-Skøyen tunnel contract

Veidekke has been selected to carry out tunneling and foundation work for the

Majorstuen-Skøyen section of Fornebubanen. The contract value is estimated at

just under NOK 1.4 billion.

The contract will be signed after expiry of the mandatory waiting period on 25

June 2023.

Construction on the Majorstuen-Skøyen section will start in August/September

2023 and is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2027. The contract comprises

tunneling and foundation work on the stretch from Volvat to Skøyen station, and

an access tunnel to Madserud from which rock masses will be transported.

Veidekke is currently carrying out similar work on the Lysaker-Vækerø section of

Fornebubanen.
