Veidekke: To build homes at Storetveit in Bergen

Nordr AS has selected Veidekke to build the Storetveithagen residential project

at Fantoft in Bergen. The first stage includes groundworks and building 36 block

and terraced houses. The commission is a design and build contract valued at NOK

146 million, excluding VAT.

When the entire project is completed, Storetveithagen will consist of 100 homes

in four low apartment block and four terraced houses. The first construction

phase that Veidekke has been commissioned to build consists of a complete

parking facility, 28 apartments in a four-storey apartment block and apartments

in terraced housing.

"We appreciate the confidence shown in us and being awarded the contract. We

have developed this residential project over several years in partnership with

Nordr, and are very pleased to finally be able start work soon. The project will

involve significant own production, and we're looking forward to starting

construction after the holidays," says District Manager Thor Småbrekke with

Veidekke Bygg Bergen.

Storetveithagen sets the bar high for sustainability and the environment with

regard to the design of the homes, construction materials and energy efficiency.

The apartment block will be built according to the passive house standard with

re-use of crushed concrete from the office building that was demolished at the

site, and blasted rock from the groundworks have been used in the Slettebakken

environmental decontamination project in the vicinity.

Fantoftparken. Storetveithagen has been well-received in the market, and we're

looking forward to establishing a new neighbourhood at Storetveit," says Urban

Director Kristoffer Evjen with Nordr.

Construction will start after the summer holidays, and handover is scheduled for

Q1 2025. The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for the second
