January 2, 2024 – Stainless Tankers ASA (the “Company”, ticker: “STST”) today announces that Erol Sarikaya will step down from his position as CFO of the Company with effect from January 10, 2024. He will be succeeded by Irene Michael, Tufton’s current Director of Finance and a STST Board Member. Irene will resign from the Company’s Board of Directors and be replaced by a new independent director, who will be elected in a general meeting of shareholders to be scheduled before the end of February 2024. STST’s current CEO, Alex Karakassis, will assume the position as both CEO and CFO of the Company for the interim period between Erol's departure and the date the new director replacing Irene at the Board of Directors has assumed her position.

Alex Karakassis noted: “Erol has been an integral part of STST since its formation and has done an outstanding job helping the Company reach its current position as an efficient and investor friendly pure-play on the stainless-steel chemical tanker sector. I wish him much success in his new endeavours. I also look forward to working with Irene as CFO. Through her position at Tufton and on STST’s Board she is intimately familiar with our business and ideally placed to ensure a seamless transition of the Company’s financial management.”
