MPC Energy Solutions nears construction start and financial close for 65 MWp project in Guatemala

Amsterdam/Oslo – 19 February 2024 – MPC Energy Solutions (“MPCES”, “Company”) announced today that it is nearing the start of construction of its 65 MWp solar PV plant San Patricio in Guatemala. The Company is working on finalizing the relevant construction and financing agreements in the next two weeks.

As reported by the Company in February 2023, the plant, once completed, will deliver energy to the IMSA Group, the country’s leading processer of sugarcane and refiner of sugar. Total investment costs for the project are estimated to be between USD 45 and USD 50 million, and MPCES expects to close a project finance facility covering around 80% of the total investment costs.

The Company will share more detailed information on the project in due course.
