Smartoptics received first order from a larger regional US operator

Oslo, 25 April 2024 – Smartoptics, a leading provider of optical networking systems, today announces that a larger regional US operator, has placed a first order for delivery of 400G services to an end user.

"We are thrilled to have reached this milestone with an initial small order. Our ambition is to grow our business by adding larger accounts, and this milestone paves the way for further development and larger purchase volumes in the future," said CEO Magnus Grenfeldt.

The main application for the products is to deliver 400G services to end users in the operators Metro networks. The Smartoptics product offered a significant cost saving for the customer, which was the main reason for using the products. The solution is based on Smartoptics DCP-1203 which is a triple 400G transponder, and associated products.
