Veidekke: New residential contract in Oslo

Veidekke has been commissioned by Fredensborg Bolig to build 149 apartments in

four buildings with an underground storage and garage facility at Vollebekk in

Oslo. The commission is a design and build contract valued at NOK 460 million,

excluding VAT.

Fredensborg Bolig has maintained the pace of housing construction despite a

challenging market, and this winter received the award "Norway's best-selling

housing project" for Vollebekk Station.

"We are happy to start the construction of this project, and with Vollebekk

Stasjon, we are providing Oslo with much-needed housing. Veidekke has

contributed their expertise during the development phase, and we are pleased to

have them continue with us in the construction phase," says Bjørn-Tore Rynning

Olsen, CEO of Fredensborg Bolig.

The homes in the project range from one- to five-bedroom apartments from 37 to

104 m[2]. All apartments will have private outdoor areas and welcoming public

areas, roof terraces and social zones. The metro stop is just a stone's throw

away and a kindergarten, school, the local cultural centre and sports

facilities.are all within walking distance.

Veidekke is already in the process of demolishing existing buildings on the

site. Construction starts in October with planned completion in autumn 2026.
