TKH strengthens position in security-solutions

TKH announces it has acquired a 49% stake in Observision, located in Heteren (The Netherlands) and a 100% stake in Klan Security System, located in Herlev (Denmark). With these take-overs TKH has made an important step in strengthening its position in security-solutions.

Observision develops new generation integrated security solutions, based on video and audio technology for automatic detection. Observision has locations in The Netherlands and the United States and generates an annual turnover of € 2 million.

Klan Security System (Klan) provides high quality CCTV- and access control solutions in the security-segment. The company has an annual turnover of € 2 million. Klan and TKHoperating company VMC will jointly operate in Denmark under the name VMC Klan.

Both Observision as well as VMC Klan will be part of the Building Solutions-segment within the Technical Trading Group of TKH. The acquisitions will be financed from TKH's existing cash reserves.

These takeovers strengthen TKH-group's portfolio of camera systems. The know how from both companies in the field of security issues can be very well used to expand the activities in the growth segment security, as defined by TKH.

TKH aims to grow the share of security solution in the turnover from 5% to 20% in the coming 3 to 5 years. With the unique technologies of Observision in the field of video- and audio-detection as well as image analysis, combined with the existing presence of the TKH operating companies in Europe and Asia, TKH expects an acceleration of the growth of the security segment in the coming years.

Technical solutions provider, TKH Group NV (TKH) is an internationally operating group of companies specialised in creating and supplying innovative Telecom, Building and Industrial Solutions.
