Nieuwe Steen Investments appoints new CEO

Hoorn – Nieuwe Steen Investments announces its intention to appoint Mr Ir. J. (Johan) Buijs (1965) as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr Buijs, formerly Board member of Wereldhave NV, will enter the employment of Nieuwe Steen Investments on 1 September 2008.

His appointment will be submitted to the General Meeting of Shareholders on 25 September 2008. It was previously announced that the current CEO, ing. Anka Reijnen, has decided to focus on the financial field as Chief Financial Officer on the Management Board of Nieuwe Steen Investments.

According to Hertzel Habas, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, this appointment constitutes the formation of a management board that links international commercial experience in the area of real estate and new dynamism with a solid and proven financial track record at Nieuwe Steen Investments. "We expect this combination to contribute even more to the success of the company."
