TKH strengthens position in industrial automation

TKH announces that it has reached agreement on the acquisition of 85% of the share capital of AVO Techniek BV, based in Someren (the Netherlands). AVO Techniek is specialised in operating technology for machines and process plants. Furthermore, it is a specialist in the area of energy distribution systems. AVO Techniek is a project driven organisation focused on customised solutions for clients.

The acquisition of AVO Techniek strengthens the position of TKH in industrial automation. AVO Techniek's knowledge and capacity can be deployed in the expansion of these activities.

AVO Techniek has 50 employees (FTE) and realises an annual turnover of € 6.5 million. The operations will be incorporated in the manufacturing systems segment of TKH, which is part of the business segment Industrial Solutions.

The acquisition of AVO Techniek will have a positive impact on the TKH profit per share as per the second half of 2008. The takeover will be financed from TKH's available resources.

The Industrial Solutions consist of advanced manufacturing systems for the car and truck tyre manufacturing industry and connectivity systems for the medical, robot, automotive and machine building industry.
