TKH acquires VDG Security

TKH announces that it has reached agreement regarding the acquisition of VDG Security BV, based in Zoetermeer. VDG Security is a producer and distributor of high quality camera systems. It has a growing position in the video observation market in Europe. Through its in-house R&D VDG Security can offer tailor-made solutions.

VDG Security's security solutions consist of flexible video management systems with integrated video algorithms, including face-, license plate-, object- and scène recognition. The platform DIVA (Digital Intelligent Video Architecture) developed by VDG Security consist of open (IP) video management-software with integrated analysis tools.

The acquisition of VDG Security fits TKH's aim to further increase the proportion of security solutions in TKH's overall turnover to 20%.

VDG Security employs 31 people (FTE) and books an annual turnover of € 6 million. The activities will be incorporated in TKH's security cluster, which is part of the business segment Building Solutions.

The acquisition of VDG Security will have a positive impact on TKH's earnings per share as per the fourth quarter of 2008. The acquisition will be financed from TKH's available resources.
