Qurius Netherlands wins large assignment for BDO

11 December 2008 – BDO International, the world's fifth largest accountancy network, has selected Qurius to build a new audit process tool, which will be used by over 15,000 partners and staff in BDO Member Firms. The assignment amounts to several million euro and has just been started.

New technology for new ways of working

The audit process tool Qurius is to build will reduce complexity, improve efficiency and ensure a clear alignment with IFAC's International Standards on Auditing. The technology is completely Microsoft based and uses Groove, InfoPath and SharePoint, thus enabling BDO partners and staff to collaborate efficiently and making the solution flexible. At the same time the tool is tailor-made to suit the specific, high quality needs of BDO and its clients' businesses.

The new platform fully fits in with the new world of work, where users can collaborate in constantly changing teams of knowledge workers at any place, at any time, whether or not connected to their IT networks. The 'single customer views' give users a clear insight into the status of a client's audit process, thus reducing complexity and risk. Microsoft will intensively cooperate with Qurius, working on the current largest worldwide Groove project.

The project will be led by Qurius Advanced Solutions in the Netherlands, in cooperation with members of the Qurius Global Alliance for the international roll-out. Support will be set up by Qurius Managed Services.
