TKH acquires Alphatronics Further boost for security and care systems

TKH announces that it has reached agreement on the acquisition of Alphatronics BV in Nijkerk. Alphatronics develops, produces and distributes high-quality technical solutions in the field of security and care systems.

Alphatronics has its own development and production facilities, which enables the company to deliver customer-specific products and projects. The Alphatronics security and care solutions are technically high-level products, such as (wireless) alarm systems, control panels, IP transceivers, receiver equipment for the receiver room and a varied range of care-related products.

The acquisition of Alphatronics is in line with TKH's objective of further expanding the share of security solutions in its overall turnover to 20%. The move also strengthens the product portfolio for care solutions through the acquisition of in-house technology.

Alphatronics has 22 employees (FTEs) and realises annual turnover of € 6 million. The Alphatronics activities will become part of the TKH security cluster, which is part of the Building Solutions business segment.

The acquisition of Alphatronics will make a positive contribution to TKH's earnings per share as of the third quarter of 2010. The acquisition will be financed from existing resources.

TKH Telecom Solutions operates in three distinct sub-segments: optical fibre networks, copper networks and indoor telecom systems.

Building Solutions develops, produces and supplies solutions in the field of efficient electrotechnology ranging from applications within buildings through to technical systems that – combined with software – provide efficiency solutions for the care and security sectors. Building Solutions operates in three distinct sub-segments: building technologies, security systems and connectivity systems.

Industrial Solutions, develops, produces and supplies solutions ranging from specialty cable, "plug and play" cable systems through to integrated systems for the production of care and truck tyres. Industrial Solutions operates in two distinct sub-segments: connectivity systems and manufacturing systems.

TKH's continuous focus on research and development gives the company a portfolio of products and services that guarantee technologically-advanced solutions.
