Besi Upgrades OTC Trading Market to OTCQX International to Increase Visibility and Liquidity of Shares in North American Markets

Duiven, the Netherlands, February 18, 2011 - BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. ("the Company" or "Besi") (NYSE Euronext: BESI; OTCQX: BESIY), a leading manufacturer of assembly equipment for the semiconductor industry, today announced it has upgraded its New York Registry Share program to the OTCQX International, the premier OTC market tier.

Besi's New York Registry Shares are now traded under the ticker BESIY. Investors in Besi's New York shares can find real-time quotes, disclosure and financial information about BESI at www.otcqx.com and www.otcmarkets.com. OTCQX is home to 171 world-class companies accounting for over US\$ 1 trillion in combined market capitalization. By joining this highest tier in the U.S. OTC marketplace, Besi intends to further increase the market breadth, visibility and liquidity of its shares in North American markets. Trading on OTCQX requires neither SEC registration nor additional reporting costs.
