Besi Announces Supervisory Board Change

Duiven, the Netherlands, October 3, 2011 - BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. ("the Company" or "Besi") (NYSE Euronext Amsterdam: BESI; OTCQX: BESIY), announced today that Mr Kin Wah Loh will resign as a member of Besi's Supervisory Board as per the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2012.

Mr Loh will resign his Besi Supervisory Board position in connection with his recent appointment as a member of NXP's management team and as executive vice president, sales & marketing of NXP Semiconductors N.V. ("NXP") (NASDAQ: NXPI). NXP provides High Performance Mixed Signal and Standard Product solutions that leverage its leading RF, Analog, Power Management, Interface, Security and Digital Processing expertise. It is a global semiconductor company with operations in more than 25 countries and revenue of \$4.4 billion in 2010 and is a long term Besi customer. Mr Loh was appointed to the Supervisory Board in May 2009. Besi's intention is to recruit a new Supervisory Board Director to replace Mr Loh at the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
