HOOFDDORP, 7 July 2015 – NSI N.V. ("NSI") signed a 25-years leasing agreement with Stichting Volkshuisvesting Utrecht for approx. 5,000 sqm in an office property at Koningin Wilhelminaplein in Amsterdam. Stichting Volkshuisvesting Utrecht will transform the office property into, and operate the leasing of, residential units. This transaction shows that vacant properties can be successfully transformed. NSI transformed approx. 23,000 sqm, approx. 4% of the office portfolio, to hotel-, school- and residential use in 2014. The contract took effect as per 1 May 2015, following the granting of the necessary permits and zoning changes.
The extension with tenant RDW, involving 7,200 sqm at the Europaweg 205 in Zoetermeer, reflects how large contract can be retained through a customer focused approach and the ability to anticipate customer needs. RDW chose for extension for 10 years in its current location because of NSI's approach on facilitating the need for parking space through active dialogue with the municipality of Zoetermeer, and the upgrading of the property to energy label A.
Colliers International Corporate Solutions acted as advisor to RDW. CBRE advised NSI on the transaction.
NSI creates - with and for its customers - inspiring environments to meet, work and do business. NSI realises this by investing in offices and retail in attractive, high-quality locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. NSI is a publicly listed real estate company, and manages invested assets of around €1.1 billion.
