HOOFDDORP, 22 October 2015 - NSI N.V. has acquired office property "Ypsilon" at the Newtonweg in Leiden. The approx. 9,500 sqm office property is strategically located at the BioScience park and nearby the train station of Leiden. The purchase price of €15.4 million reflects a gross initial yield of approx. 10%.
The Bio Science Park Leiden is a business park that focuses on companies and research institutes in the biotechnology sector and is the largest life sciences cluster in the Netherlands.
Anne de Jong, CIO of NSI: "The BioScience park in Leiden is a fundamentally strong office location where we wanted to expand our position. The focus on life sciences and the connection with the University of Leiden make this location a hot spot for biotech companies and start-ups. The BioScience park area is therefor also an excellent HNK location in due course."
The property of 9.500 sqm, of which 2,000 $m^2$ being laboratory space, is fully occupied. The property has been transferred on 21 October 2015.
The acquisition is financed by using current available credit facilities.
