OCI N.V. (Euronext: OCI) today announced that after a production stop due to a fire incident in the basement of the Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) plant of OCI Nitrogen in Geleen, The Netherlands, on 30 September 2015, it has restarted production of all units.
On 8 October 2015, OCI Nitrogen restarted one ammonia production unit, shortly followed by Urea Ammonium Nitrate (UAN) and part of its melamine production. With the start of operations of the CAN lines, all units are now operational, in time for the spring application in Europe.
Most of the damage, including damage to property and loss of business, is insured.
